The 31st of October last year, I posted a blurb regarding, how one could circumvent the issues there (still) are with Windows 10 (and especially it’s updates the last couple of years) and Korg’s MIDI-drivers; and although Ian Dixon’s step-by-step walkthrough, as for Gregg Hartt’s additional commentary/fix to the matter (found here) initially worked at my end of things, however a couple of updates later and I was sadly back to square-one with a Korg-product, which couldn’t be “seen” by the various software, which I wanted to use it with!

To my grand and glorious luck, Tim Shoebridge a while back (actually a half of a year after Dixon’s and Hartt’s respective fixes were posted) actually made and posted a video, where he really nice and easy-like goes through and shows the motions, how one can get Korg’s MIDI-driver to (again) work in WIN10 – and WITHOUT having to use RegEdit! His somewhat simple solution (compared to Dixon’s and Hartt’s ditto) can be viewed in the embedded video below:

On an end-note: I’ve tried to use Tim Shoebridge’s solution myself, as desribed in the video, and it worked like a charm – i.e.: I had my Korg-product’s driver properly up and running, so it could (again) be “seen” – and used – on the various DAW-software, which I’ve got installed on my WIN10-machine(s)…! YAY!
