OAP: Leap-frogged to now v.1.0.5
Been doing a litlle bit of some coding as of late – and my updated WordPress-plugin, OAP, is getting released today!
Leap-frogging from v.1.0.3 over v.1.0.4 to now v.1.0.5, the updated plugin now features Google Analytics v.4.0 (GA4)-support as for Google Tag Manager-support, too (although the latter is optional/commented out in the OAP’s code) plus there’s now a little bit easier insertion and configuration of the CSS “Above The Fold”-optimization, where the things have moved up to the top of the code-page, and where the generated CSS is now inserted to be used as a variable.
BTW, in spite of using Google Analytics v4.0 implemented as Google recommends – up in the “head”-section, my website (using the OAP) currently benchmarks a load-time of less than 1.8 seconds on GT Metrix! So Google Analytics v.4 doesn’t cause loading-lag as one might’ve feared!
I would’ve like to have used/implemented Dariusz Więckiewicz’ “Minimal Google Analytics 4 Snippet” – but apparently I must be a klutz, as I’ve had trouble getting it to work; I might give it a try again later, as it does look promising, IMHO!
Incidentally Google Analytics v.4 will be replacing Google’s current Universal Analytics by next year, so get with the program and update your website’s analytics now!
